Okay, finally I found the time for telling you the story of Tekken

There are many different versions. I'll give you a short summary of one of them :-D

Okay it all started with Heihachi (the old idiot ), who threw his own son (Kazuya Mishima, my favorite fighter ) of a cliff. Kazuya was only five years of age and barely survived the fall.
His hatred helped him to survive, when he made his way back up the cliff.
On his way he met devil, who made him an offer.
He promised to give him more power, so that Kazuya could defeat his father but as a countermove to that he wanted his soul and a part of his body. (so Kazuya and Devil shared one body later on).
Kazuya accepted, leaded by his hatred and well....he continued training under his brutal father who punched him nearly to dead everyday, hoping, that he would be able to take revenge one day.
A few years later, when Kazuya was 21 years old, Heihachi held a tournament called "The king of iron fist tournament". Kazuya and many other fighters participated, but only Kazuya was able to reach the final.
He defeated his father and threw him of a cliff like Heihachi had done with him a long time ago.
But also Heihachi survived the fall.
He returned and organised a second tournament, where Kazuya got to know a friendly young woman called "Jun Kazama". They fell in love with each other and well...created a son :-D
Heihachi threw Kazuya in a volcano. This time, Kazuya died.
Jun got pregnant (:-D) and gave birth to a son.
Kazuya was found and revived by "G-Corporation".

Later Jun was killed by a creature called "Ogre" and young Jin (her son) went to his grandfather, who was his only relative alive (or so he thought ).
Heihachi trained him and organised the third tournament, where Jin defeated Ogre.

Then, a few years later a new tournament was held.
In this tournament Kazuya came back :-D

A short time after there's a 5th tournament.
Jinpachi (Heihachi's father), Heihachi, Kazuya and Jin participate. :-D
(the great family fight :-D)

Okay, that was a very very short version of the storyline. I left out a lot of facts, because it would have been too much to type :-D
I'm still tired :-D

Ah and that's only the Kazama/Mishima storyline of course.
The other characters also have a story, but they're not half as interesting as this one :-D

I guess you have read my crossover? :-)

There are 6 games alltogether, not 5.

For PlayStation:
Tekken 1
Tekken 2
Tekken 3

For PS2:
Tekken Tag Tournament
Tekken 4
Tekken 5 (not released in Europe yet)

I have only played a DOA demo ages ago, so I cannot compare it. Tekken has a longer history than DOA. In Tekken you get a lot of different characters and (almost) each has his own fighting style. (Karate, Kung Fu, Ninjitsu, Tae Kwon Do, Boxing, Kick Boxing...)
