The Shard of Life Expansion (The Cave of Fire)


Square Enix Montréal presents us with a very special Thanksgiving gift. While Xbox gamers may still be busy exploring Rise of the Tomb Raider, owners of Android and iOS devices can go on their own adventure with a brand new Lara Croft GO level pack "The Cave of Fire" in which Lara goes hunting for the fabled Shard of Life. 26 brand new puzzles await you.

MONTREAL (November 25, 2015) – Square Enix Montréal today announced that Lara Croft GO™, the 2015 Best Mobile/Handheld Game of the Year nominee from The Game Awards and follow-up to the award-winning Hitman GO®, will receive a free expansion titled “The Shard of Life” on Nov. 26. The new content tasks Lara Croft® with solving the mystery of the Shard of Life, and will be available on all supported iOS and Android devices. In celebration of the release, Square Enix Montréal recently launched a week-long Twitch® Plays event, in which fans are invited to join in and collectively work to complete each original stage of Lara Croft GO in order to unveil the new content!

In the new expansion, Lara Croft charts a path into the depths of the Cave of Fire in search of the fabled Shard of Life. With 26 new puzzles to solve, numerous new cursed monsters to battle, two new costumes to earn, artifacts and gemstones to collect, the free new content will provide hours of additional gameplay for this unique turn-based experience.

To mark the occasion, Square Enix Montreal is hosting a limited-time flash sale of 40 percent off (now $2.99), and hosting a Twitch Plays LCGO event that will end with the discovery of the new content. The entire Twitch community is invited to come together surrounding Thanksgiving to aid in solving the harder-than-ever puzzles. The turn-based puzzle adventure casts players as the iconic Lara Croft as she explores the ancient ruins of a long forgotten civilization. Over the span of six chapters, players must help Lara fight menacing enemies, overcome dangerous obstacles and traps, and ultimately, uncover the myth of the Queen of Venom. Lara Croft GO on PS4 and Vita

Exciting news. Those who follow us on twitter may have already read that there was a rumour that Lara Croft GO, the game previously released for mobile devices (smart phones, tablets and Windows 10), will come to the PlayStation, namely the PS4 and the PS Vita. These rumours have now been confirmed with a surprise release of later today, 3 December 2016.

The game comes with a new chapter called "The Mirror of Spirits" - that can first be played on PlayStation, and will hit other platforms at a later date - in which Lara will have to solve puzzles with her doppelganger.

Lara Croft GO: "The Mirror of Spirits" Now on Mobile Devices


The last chapter of Lara Croft GO "The Mirror of Spirits", which has previously only been available as part of the PlayStation 4 release of the game, is now available on Android, Windows and iOS devices. Players who have previously purchased Lara Croft GO can download the additional DLC for free.

Lara Croft GO is currently on sale in most stores. Microsoft currently offers the game for $0.99 instead of $4.99, if you get it within the next 5 days. Android users can grab the game for 60% off at $0,99. Apple's iOS users have to pay a little more with €1,99.


"The Mirror of Spirits" is the seventh chapter of Lara Croft GO and consists of 11 individual levels (The Croft Trophy Room, The Cellar, The Foyer, The Great Hall, The Library, The Chapel, The Tower, The Ballroom, The Gallery, The Attic and The Void)



25 new puzzles and 3 new game mechanics are waiting to be explored. The mirror allows quite a few new obstacles, when the player has to guide Lara and Shadow Lara to their individual goals while avoiding enemies and shadow enemies.

Relic collectors can discover the 10-part "Eye of the Abyss" and 14 crystals distributed across the levels.
