Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris has Gone Gold

With less than a month to go till its release on December 9th 2014 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris has gone gold, meaning that the code has been finalized and gone out to manufacturers. The official Tomb Raider blog posted some insight into the studios celebrations for the occasion this morning. Check out their pictures and a message from Darrell Gallagher under the following url: http://tombraider.tumblr.com/post/102970…s-has-gone-gold

Further the developer diary "Puzzles 101" has gone life on the official Tomb Raider youtube Channel. Executive producer Scot Amos and lead level designer Jeff Wajcs talk us through the video. Jeff states that while the game will be fully playable in single player mode he was most excited to implement some of his new ideas that became possible with "our latest mechanics and our four-player design". One of the features returning from the Guardian of Light will be Lara's grapple line, with four players however it will open new possibilities when each character becomes a grapple point. The staff of Osiris, a new item in the game will serve as kind of a magical trigger for certain elements within the game. The way the puzzles change when more players are added to the table is given in an example in the video. "One of the simple examples that you see here is that in single player Lara must manipulate the mirrors to destroy the rifts in Duat using the staff of Osiris, whereas in co-op, one of the gods must use their staff to lower this platform while Lara manipulates the mirror and another player shoots at it to destroy the two rifts."

One a side note, "Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris has partnered with Coke Zero and PlayStation 4 on a variety of giveaways, including game codes, physical prizes, and even a vacation package. Austria and Switzerland will feature Lara on physical cans of Coke Zero. Keep an eye out in your territory to see what's up for grabs."

Temple of Osiris (P)Review

We are one of the lucky ones who got their games already and we had the opportunity to try it out. Everything we've done so far we've recorded using the PS4s recording fuction. We will probably upload it as "Let's Play" to our youtube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/tombraidergirlnet once the game has been officially released. We don't want to spoil anything until then.

Follow our tweets on Temple of Osiris on Twitter at https://twitter.com/tombr4idergirl to learn more about our experience with the game. If you don't follow twitter, you can also find the posts on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/tombraidergirlcom

What we noticed so far: When playing with two people and player one picks Lara (one of the archaeologists), the second player has to pick either Isis or Horus (one of the Egyptians), as the Staff of Osiris is needed for puzzles. So, no Lara & Carter duo if playing with only two people.

We were able to spot the following levels:

* Tomb of the Timekeeper
* Pyramid of Osiris
* Tomb of Set
* Tomb of Sobek
* Tomb of Khepri
* Tomb of the Torturer
* Tomb of the Architect
* Tomb of the Lamplighter
* Tomb of the Ferryman
* Tomb of the Silversmith
